G_man asked: I have some military dog tags that I want to get rid of. However, since I have my full SSN on them, I don’t feel comfortable just throwing them away. Does any know a good way to get rid of the info on them before tossing them?

Shawn Mills asked: My boyfriend lost his military dog tags after he finished serving and he misses them dearly. His birthday is Sunday and I really think it’d be awesome if I could find a way to get a set made that looked like his but I don’t know what dog tags say on them or where you can make them? Any help?

yumyumchef asked: I heard that the notch is so that when a soldier is killed in action, the dog tags are supposed to be placed in the mouth between the front teeth and a soldier is to kick the jaw of the deceased in order to wedge the dogtag into place. This was supposed to prevent the accidental loss or separation of the dog tags from the deceased.
